Pardon the repitition if this has been discussed. It’s a new thing since November 2020.
I was at the Wright Brothers Memorial the other day when the ranger asked if I was active or veteran. Thought I’d get a vet discount on the entry fee, but it’s better. All veterans (and gold star families) are now entitled to a pass giving them free entry to every single national park, memorial and USPS site in the country for a year. Includes up to three people traveling with you. Just produce your vet ID at any ranger station and grab a pass. I’d say that’s a damn good benefit.
The pass looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/Zd0NaMt.jpg
