I was wondering if anyone had experience using the joint VA loan?
My family member is interested in purchasing a multi-family house, and i’ve done some research and found out you can do a joint VA loan. It allows a veteran to get a home loan with a non-spouse relative.
I am rated at 100%, receiving compensation, and am currently going to college but am almost done. I don’t have a job, but I also have 0 debt and have over $15K in investing/savings.
Said family member is well off with plenty of sources of incomes to include a business and multiple properties. If they wanted a loan for the house I am looking at their chance of getting approved is high.
I have never purchased a home. From the research that I did, I would not have to pay the VA funding fee. Does anyone have any success with this, or have any insight on if we should go to the bank he has or use navy fed/usaa?
