Writers Guild Foundation: Veterans Writing Project

[ad_1]

The Writers Guild Foundation will be opening the application window for the 2022-23 cycle of the Veterans Writing Project on January 25, 2022.

The program is designed to identify emerging writers from U.S. military backgrounds and provide them with the tools and insights to nurture their passion for screenwriting and successfully navigate the entertainment industry.

Participants are matched with WGA members who provide mentorship and professional guidance over the course of a year. Each session features a curated panel discussion or guest speaker, covering everything from the fundamentals to the business of writing for the screen. Upon graduation, writers will have the opportunity to pitch their completed pilot or feature script to leading agents, managers, showrunners, and executives.

All applications should be submitted by EOD on February 28, 2022. Additional information and FAQs can be found on their website: wgfoundation.org/programs/the-veterans-writing-project.

Please feel free to email vets@wgfoundation.org with any other questions.
