So I have a meaty VA claim in the works and I was surprised to find a few of the reports from C&P exams on the Blue-Button feature in Myhealthevet. However these exams were not conducted in person. They were “review of evidence”.
Anyways, I am attempting to claim sleep apnea secondary to PTSD, because a VSO told me that it was the best way to go about it. I submitted a diagnosis with doctors notes, a personal statement, a statement from my wife, and a buddy letter. I also have mentioned in every single PHA/PrDHA/PDHA that I have been having troubles sleeping ( I did not know at the time that it was Sleep Apnea, really wish I would have taken charge of my health while I was AD).
“There is little evidence available in the literature to support a connection between Sleep Apnea and mental health disorders”. I guess this study they are using outweighs my evidence? I know some have won these types of claims. I have even read studies that support sleep apnea and mental health. But just to help those that need it, please be aware of this.
