Ribbon Cutting Celebration of New Larger Location – Veterans Home Care

[ad_1]

Veterans Home Care’s new larger office headquarters at The Crossings at Westport, at 11975 Westline Industrial Drive, was celebrated Friday, October 1 with a ribbon cutting and picnic lunch for employees and supporters.

This location, occupying 3 floors, more than doubles the size of our previous home a half-mile away. The additional space will allow Veterans Home Care and our sister company SmartCompanion Care room to expand beyond the current 77 employees we have in St. Louis. The ribbon cutting put the spotlight on one of St. Louis’s most successful family business startups, founded by Bonnie Laiderman in 2003 and later joined by her husband Howard Laiderman, daughter Marcy Seeney and nephews Evan Kaltman and David Laiderman.

Expanding Leadership Talent & Succession Planning

In 2018 Retired Brigadier General Larry Kay joined Veterans Home Care as president to refine strategies and execute operations. David Laiderman, also an experienced entrepreneur who started, co-founded, operated, and invested in several companies joined as executive consultant in 2019 and recently succeeded as CEO. This additional talent enabled owners Bonnie and Howard Laiderman to expand and innovate to answer the growing demand for affordable senior care.

A Unique Bundle of Services for Veteran Families

Bonnie founded the company and developed this unique business niche in 2013 to help veterans and their families receive disability pensions from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs bundled with additional services not found elsewhere. The company is in 48 states and has a network of 4,000+ contracted home care providers.

Today, Veterans Home Care is not just for veterans.

With the launch of SmartCompanion Care, we now provide affordable solutions for all seniors to live more safely and comfortably at home. SmartCompanion is a service that combines voice-activated calling, and video chats with the intelligence and fun of Alexa® and replaces old-fashioned medical alert devices.

Commercial real estate firm CBRE represented Veterans Home Care in its lease for the new location.
