Trying to make sense of VA payments (Just rated) : Veterans

Hey all,

I separated on July 27th. Received my 90% rating on September 23rd. VA.gov shows two payments – Both “Retroactive”, but paid – One on the 27th, and one on the 30. That’s what I received. But what about October? If my math is right, I got August and September, and should have gotten October 1st as well. VA.gov isn’t showing a third, regular payment. I’m still new to it and am really looking out for anything amiss. Do you think this is normal behavior for them? The most likely scenario I see right now is I get another payment sometime this month for October, and then a regular on the first, whenever they finish processing my stuff. Does that sound right?

Also, do you guys have problems with your local VA clinic never calling you back or answering their phones? I’m trying to get an appointment for a VHIC but nobody at the enrollment line answers the phone or returns messages.
