Fake News : Veterans

Well, you’re right in some aspects, but there is truly no comparing CNN and Fox. One (Fox) is a propaganda machine that has defended itself against defamation lawsuit in court with the legal argument that their reporting could not *possibly* be considered “news” under the legal definition; therefore, they cannot be held liable for their slander and defamation.

I’m not saying that most cable news outlets aren’t WAY heavy on opinion and “analysis,” but there is absolutely no comparison between any of the mainstream TV media and Fox, Newsmax, or OAN (all three of which have offered up similar legal defenses regarding their “reporting”).

One of the biggest problems I see is that people are intellectually lazy and equate the two, creating a false equivalency. Another problem that I have is that people consistently fail to use even common-sense standards to vet their media consumption — this is on TV or wherever else.
