LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I finally figured out my laptop situation, thought I’d share it with you all.
My advisor wanted me to use the store bookstore since it’s easier than him ordering, so firstly, I’d ask for that option if I was one of you; since you can tailor it to what you need better, and they’ll give you a limit. This doesn’t mean you can just go spending a fortune, it has to still be need based, but they don’t shy away from giving you a decent spec’d laptop for the right prices. I managed to get myself this computer https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/dell-xps-15-7590-oled, this computer was made in 2019 but has some beefy specs for a workhorse, and even a gpu (that for some reason wasn’t on the listing, you can’t get this pc with a 4k setup unless it has the gpu)
