If you love country music, you probably know Trace Adkins.
Then again, you are probably familiar with some of his music, even if you aren’t a huge country music fan.
He isn’t only heard on the radio, his music is performed live, and in many cases, it is done for veterans or those in the military.
He debuted a new song, “Empty Chair,” just in time for Memorial Day. Atkins wanted everyone to keep in mind the meaning behind the holiday, and not get lost in the barbecues and shopping that is often part of it.
He is dedicating the song to the sacrifice of the men and women that will “never be forgotten.”
The video that goes along with the song features pictures submitted by friends and family who have served in the military.
He also honors people who never made it home, which is why he entitled the song, Empty Chair.
The song also speaks of those who did come home and built their lives.
