Vets of Reddit! I am leaving the military at the end of this year and was looking for a decent college that has a great surgical technician program (preferably a small community college). I am currently stationed in Charleston and the programs here are trash. I was looking to possibly go towards North Carolina, find a program, and use my GI Bill to become a full time student.
Also, do you have any additional advice for someone leaving the military and becoming a full time college student. I have done research and some things that stuck out to me are : see if the college has a work/study program, chegg.com has cheap books, rent books, and of course be humble (don’t scream “i am a vet”). Any additional information on Surgical Technology would be useful as well. Thank you in advance!
