[ad_1]

The Republic of Vietnam Historical Society (RVNHS) is a non-profit historical group based in Southern California. It is dedicated to the study and preservation of the history of the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam). The organization’s main activities consist of the collection, preservation, and presentation of artifacts relating to the military and government of the former republic, and the active accumulation of oral histories from men and women who served in the country’s armed forces or government.

One of the society’s aims is also to connect with other individuals with similar interests in the history of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Vietnam ( ARVN ), the state of South Vietnam, and Vietnam in general. Membership is open to individuals of all backgrounds. If you would like to get in contact with the society, you can do so by visiting their website at rvnhs.com.

The organization’s website also features a virtual museum of original artifacts (mostly pertaining to the military) which are currently held in the society’s collection. The RVNHS Virtual Museum is frequently updated, and includes identification listings for insignia of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (Divisions and Regiments) as well as Ranger Branch, and other uniform, equipment, and miscellaneous items. Each item presented offers photographs and a brief background history of each piece. The item displayed in the virtual museum are only a small portion of what currently exists in the society’s collection.

The group also actively sets up displays at veterans and community events free of charge. Themes for common displays include: The Army of the Republic of Vietnam, The ARVN Rangers (Biet Dong Quan), VNAF (Vietnamese Air Force), and more.
