Veterans experiencing PTSD and sleep problems (California and North Carolina), Paid research study, San Francisco VA Medical Center / UCSF, up to $500 : Veterans

Are you a Veteran experiencing PTSD and sleep problems (located in California or North Carolina)? Researchers at the SFVA/ UCSF are currently seeking men and women between the ages of 18-75 for a study examining the effect of FDA approved medication Suvorexant (Brand name: Belsomra), on sleep disturbance in Veterans with post-traumatic stress.

Participants will receive up to $500 for their time.

The study will last 16 weeks and involves:

  • Phone call to see if this study is a fit

  • Sleep and posttraumatic stress symptom assessment(s)

  • Participate in video visits or phone calls from home

  • Taking study medication

  • Keeping track of your sleep
