Veteran Stand Down in San Diego

[ad_1]

Apple Muñoz and Dave Clanton unload the NVF Van in San Diego

If you’re not familiar with a Stand Down, it’s a special event for veterans where veteran service organizations provide information, some medical and dental services, some personal care items and amenities, food and water. The NVF participates in these regularly as part of our Outreach. It’s a way to reach veterans who remain invisible otherwise.

The next one will be held at Veterans Village in San Diego on November 22. In the first week of October, Director of Operations Dave Clanton and Outreach Coordinator Apolonio “Apple” E. Muñoz III drove the NVF van loaded with supplies down to the warehouse in preparation. Dave will attend the event with Women’s Outreach Coordinator Martha Varela.
