AS the title says I wanted to know if anyone had any clarification for those of us currently paying back debt for VA disability payments due to being a drilling reservist? I stumbled across the article:
https://www.military.com/daily-news/2021/01/22/biden-signs-executive-order-delaying-va-debt-collections.html
That states we should not be paying back any debt from our VA disability during this Covid crisis. Does this include those that have already been paying back debt? Should I be expecting my full disability amount for my 40% disability or does this only apply to special circumstances? If I am supposed to be collecting my full amount, who do I call or contact? What is the procedure for correcting this debt collection during COVID?
Update clarification: I’m paying the VA a debt for the fact that I drilled as a reservist while also collecting VA disability. When that occurs the VA retroactively counts the number of days you drilled and takes that from your future disability payments.
