Tom Petty Benefit Concert 1995
Since 1985 the National Veterans Foundation has been helping vets and their families with our Lifeline for Vets and Outreach Program. Founder Shad Meshad’s mission dates from before that. We’ve never been stronger, better positioned for growth. It’s an exciting time.

Our long-awaited new phone system will allow counselors to answer the Lifeline from remote locations. Well-trained and experienced former staffers will expand the hours of the Lifeline for Vets. Working from the Pacific Northwest is Richard Chiamulon. Steve Duby works from Arizona. Both were outstanding counselors who’ve stayed close, helping when they could. It’s great to have them “back in the family.”
Army Vet Dave Clanton, Director of Operations, came aboard September 1. He’s already contributed to the smooth running of the office in many ways. Read more about him in this newsletter.
To everyone who’s traveled with us these 35 years, thank you for your belief, trust and investment in us. Your gifts of time, talent and treasure have eased the lives of over 450,000 veterans. Stay with us as we expand our ability to meet the needs of our veterans.
